At Hartma Coffee, we believe coffee has the power to do more than bring people together. Beyond sourcing exceptional coffee, we are committed to making a positive impact on the communities and people behind every bean. For us, coffee is not simply a business, but a bridge between cultures, communities, and shared opportunities.
Our commitment extends beyond the coffee trade. Through our charitable initiatives in Kenya, from supporting local education to engaging directly with coffee-growing communities, we strive to give back to the places where our journey begins. We believe that the true value of coffee lies not only in its quality, but also in the meaningful change we can create along the way.
Beyond Borders, Beyond Business
In July 2025, together with our partners in China, we participated in a 36-day charitable initiative in the Maasai communities of Kenya. With the support of local nonprofit organizations, our journey took us deep into coffee-growing regions at elevations of 1,550 to 1,800 meters. From coffee harvesting and washing to drying and grading, we gained firsthand insight into the dedication and hard work behind every bean. Through meaningful exchanges with local residents and coffee cooperatives, we developed a deeper understanding of the connection between coffee, people, and the land. This journey was more than an exploration of coffee’s origins — it was an opportunity to build relationships, support local communities, and put our belief in shared growth and social responsibility into practice.
